As we posted earlier this week in our Pack Expo Preview 2016 (Part One), you can expect to see new and innovative stick pack, liquids packaging, and carton packing solutions at Viking Masek's booth S-2156 at this year's Pack Expo. Along with our new equipment, we are also featuring our current best-selling flexible packaging solutions. Read on to see what else we have in store for Pack Expo in Chicago...

Manage Multiple SKUs on a Single VFFS Machine

Flexible-packaging-options-from-Viking-Masek.pngA top challenge in packaging and production management today is the increased proliferation of SKUs in the marketplace. Today, many products are available in single serve, snack size, multi-use, family size, and bulk package sizes to appease all consumer demographics. And it doesn't stop there. Product variations created to market to different consumer groups arise as well, also needing to be packaged into different bag sizes and types. In the past, this may have required multiple packaging lines, but not today. Enter: The MS Series from Viking Masek, first introduced in 2015. Specifically, the VFFS MS400, which will be live at Pack Expo 2016.

These versatile VFFS machines can be configured to almost any specification imaginable. They are available in continuous or intermittent motion and can accommodate almost all bag styles, including the popular Doypack, which will be the bag type demonstrated on the MS400 at booth S-2156 at Pack Expo.

The MS400 can also be configured for bag-in-bag packaging, popular in the coffee industry. From snack size packages to bulk bags, these versatile packaging machines can handle a variety of bag sizes. Featuring easy tool-free changeover and storage for up to 100 product recipes, this VFFS machine can simplify an otherwise complex packaging project.

Premade Pouch Filling Machines for Every Industry

Pack_Expo_2016_rotary_premade_pouch_machine.jpgThe premade pouch machine has become increasingly popular in many industries as the preformed pouch bag style continues to capture the attention of consumers. Premade pouches are convenient and a great canvas for marketing, as well as a great way to differentiate your unique product from the competition on store shelves. A cost-effective alternative to rigid packaging, the premade pouch provides convenience and flexibility both to the manufacturer and end consumer.

Viking's Rotary Premade Pouch equipment is built to last. This machinery boasts a space-saving rotary design, with different bag size parameters and rotary configurations available, as well as a single or dual pouch system set-up. Live and in action at Pack Expo 2016 will be premade pouch machine model V-8S-235, a best-seller for its ease-of-use and flexibility. Always a crowd pleaser, this machine will be demonstrated with convenient preformed bags with zippers provided by film supplier partner Eagle Flexible Packaging.

New Multi-Lane Marking and Coding Equipment

Also at Viking Masek's booth S-2156 will be the best-selling stick pack machine ST800. Like all stick pack models, this versatile machine is designed to pack multiple lanes of powders; dense, fine, loose and particulate materials as well as liquids and gels into stickpack bags and to accommodate different bag shapes including pour spouts, tear notches and easy-open systems. See Diagraph's new Allen MLi-TE muliti-lane thermal transfer printer being demonstrated on the stick pack ST800 at Pack Expo.

The Ultimate in Packaging Flexibility

As Viking Masek's best-selling machine, the VFFS M250 is popular in many industries, but especially in coffee, snacks, and contract packaging markets. With its rugged construction and enclosed jaw drive, this vertical form fill seal machine is perfect for dusty or wet packaging environments. Optional washdown construction allows thorough cleaning and sanitation of the machine to stringent quality regulations.

The VFFS M250 will be shown at Pack Expo with a Yamato scale to demonstrate an integrated food packaging system.

The Fastest VFFS Packaging Machine in the World: No Competition

Always a hit at trade shows, the Viking Masek VFFS Velocity is a lightning-fast continuous motion bagger, packaging at speeds of up to 300 cycles per minute, making it the fastest VFFS machine in the entire world. With it's patented, independently phased dual jaw system, the Velocity quickly packages fractional packs of coffee, pillow bags of snack crackers, and other products.

The Velocity will be shown at Pack Expo with a Markem X60 continuous motion thermal transfer printer, demonstrating an integrated packaging and marking/coding solution.
