Description

The role of a Project Coordinator / Purchasing Planner is to work with the Project Management (PM) team to plan and coordinate purchasing schedules with our vendors, Engineering and PMs on projects. Data entry, including managing change notices (internal and external), tracking purchase orders, and miscellaneous administrative work with customer-focused teams.  Responsible for working with the Project Management team to maintain compliance with standard operating procedures within that team.

Mon - Fri

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (can be flexible)

 

Travel

Minimal to none.

Job Requirements

  • Technical and or manufacturing background preferred
  • Ability to maintain a high quality of work while presented with competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience with ERP purchasing software equivalent to Epicor, SAP, or NetSuite is a plus
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Following and communicating status of project-related purchase orders
  • Provide schedule entry in collaboration with Program Management
  • Drive suppliers/vendors for schedule compliance
  • Work with PM team to maintain data integrity (cost, scope and schedule)
  • Assist PM team with project communications where possible.
  • Work with PM team to maintain project playbooks (deliverable completion, audit checklists prior to key events.
  • Coordinate with Production and Engineering to assist schedule adherence  

  • Work with Tradeshow coordinator to assist with tradeshow equipment

  • Always sell the Viking Value Proposition

  • Continuous improvement and industry training upkeep
