Description
The role of the Material Handler is to assist the Parts Coordinator in the stockroom with organizing, sorting, and distributing parts. The Material Handler is also responsible for preparing spare parts orders for daily shipment and assisting the receiving department with incoming equipment and parts. The Material Handler will also assist the shipping department with preparation of outgoing equipment.

Mon - Fri
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (can be flexible)
Travel
5% - 10% annually, as required.

Job Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Strong organizational skills
- Forklift Certificate – Will provide training
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physical strength to move equipment and parts
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Stamina to stand for most of the day
- General knowledge of reading blueprints
- General computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Must be able to work overtime when required
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares spare parts orders for daily shipment
- Picks up and drops off parts at local vendors
- Assists receiving department with receiving equipment and parts orders
- Assists with sorting and inventory of parts in the stock room
- Loads/unloads semi-trailers
- Pulls parts for production projects
- Keeps stockroom clean and organized
- Inventory cycle counting
- Prepares equipment for shipment
- Cleans of equipment
- Assists with machine sub-assembly
- Custodial duties - including but not limited to
- Maintain shop & production floors
- Empty shop floors garbage cans and bins
- Keep shop clean and organized
- Facilities maintenance - including but not limited to
- Snow removal from sidewalks
- Maintain floor scrubber
- Maintain forklifts including daily safety checks
