Description

The role of a Quality Control Supervisor is to plan, direct and coordinate quality assurance programs, formulate quality control policies, and directly oversee quality of production efforts. This is a hands-on role where the work you do will influence both the success of our internal teams and our growing customer base.  You will develop and measure progress through metrics and tangible goals as well as enforce policies for organizational excellence.  You will provide strong leadership skills, demonstrate great communication skills, and show high motivation for improvement.

Mon - Fri

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (can be flexible)

 

Travel

Minimal, as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college in BA, engineering, or technical school, or work equivalent or 5-10 years’ experience
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer
  • Superb computer competence, including database management
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Management skill related to organizing self and others
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
  • High degree of technical aptitude
  • Ability to identify weak spots in a process to improve efficiency
  • Great planning and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player that is a highly disciplined, problem-solver with a strong work ethic
  • Organized, meticulous, driven by excellence and have an unwillingness to settle for anything but the best 

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Continuously drives to improve processes for improved performance.
  • Supports employees, executing against established guidelines and common procedures and policies.
  • Develops and monitors metrics and goals.
  • Evaluates and improves systems and processes to effectively meet project requirements and profitability goals.
  • Identifies actionable plans with SMART goals.
  • Optimizes business workflows and seeks efficiencies.
  • Reviews test results, revises testing procedures, authors compliance records including lab investigations, and answers questions from various customers.
  • Attends meetings to keep informed of manufacturing and new development needs and priorities and provides analytical information and expertise.
  • Ensures quality personnel receive proper and prompt training.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable ISO regulations and SOPs.
  • Documents testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.  
  • Identifies critical points in the manufacturing process and specifies sampling procedures to be used at these points.  
  • Identifies quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.  
  • Instructs staff in quality control and analytical procedures.
