Description

The Master Scheduler / Production Planner plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of projects through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing machine orders in the ERP system and the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Hours

Mon - Fri

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (can be flexible)

 

Travel

5 - 10% annually.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in management may be preferred
  • Proven experience as production planner
  • Strong understanding of production process
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Intimate knowledge of ERP (Epicor) systems and MS Office
  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple projects
  • Create and maintain master schedule
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Work closely with Project Management and Production Teams
  • Monitor projects to ensure they will finish on time
  • Identify problems and help improve processes
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Use software to generate reports and schedules
  • Prepare and submit status reports
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Use resources in the most effective manner
