Description

The role of a Sales Associate is to work cross-functionally with the Inside Sales team. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, preparing quotes, entering data in CRM software, and assisting with sales reps/agents. This support role requires technical aptitude and is key to Sales and quoting accurately. They are responsible for working with the organization regarding compliance and standard operating procedures.

Mon - Fri

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM based on departmental needs
(can be flexible)

 

Travel

Occasional, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high quality of work while presented with competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical aptitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Learns Viking Masek equipment.
  • Immerses in Inside Sales and applications knowledge.
  • Works to improve the Sales Process Flow (RFQs, quotes, configurators) and assists in startup and data entry.
  • Creates and formats machine and parts quotes, vendor communication, and ancillary equipment quotations. 
  • Cross-functional liaison for sales-related issues – supports others in all areas.
  • Takes initial sales calls to gather information and qualify leads.
  • Sample bag making for sales – customers and prospects.
  • Assists in sales prospecting and lead generation for sales team
  • Creates reports for marketing and sales activities
  • Organizes sales trips in coordination with sales team
  • Attends weekly sales meetings

Other Misc. Duties

  • Always sell the Viking Value Proposition.
  • Attend Tradeshows when necessary from a Technical resource.
  • Continuous improvement and industry training upkeep.
