Viking Masek Doubles Down on Secondary Packaging: North American Capabilities Expansion Driven by Increased Customer Demand

February 4, 2025 – As 2025 begins, Viking Masek, a global leader in simplifying the packaging equipment customer's experience, begins a new chapter. The Wisconsin-based North American operation made the decision to further bolster their secondary packaging operations to stay ahead of market demands.

In addition to our experienced secondary packaging team in the Czech Republic, which specializes in cartoning and palletizing, we are expanding—and will continue to expand—product development, procurement, and engineering at the Oostburg, Wisconsin, facility. With a strong internal development team, dedicated commercial division, and respected key partners, Viking Masek is prepared on a global scale to provide customers with exceptional packaging solutions and service."
The evolution of Viking Masek's Oostburg facility has been implemented in tandem with the decision to separate with Viking Masek Robotics & Automation, now known as Blue Onyx Systems. Viking Masek Robotics & Automation is no longer part of Viking Masek operations and Viking Masek Holdings' stake in Viking Masek Robotics and Automation has been sold with a transaction date of January 31, 2025. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Existing customer projects with Viking Masek Robotics & Automation will move forward as planned with Blue Onyx Systems, being additionally supported by Viking Masek's expanded secondary resources in Oostburg, Wisconsin, and highly experienced Czech Republic team.
