Packaging Machine Demo, Carton and Case Packing with Top Load and Wrap Around System

Watch as Viking Masek's ST800 stick pack machine utilizes a Top Load CFM (Carton Forming Machine) to fill coffee sticks into cartons. The Top Load CFM can produce up to 150CPM. Erected cases are then conveyed to the top load pick and place system which is picking and placing a quantity of 15 at a time into 5 cartons to reach the quantity of 30 count per carton.

Once cartons are packed, they'll convey to a Top Load CLM (Closing Machine) and the side flaps are folded in, then top flap folded down and tucked. Finished Cartons are then conveyed and sorted into the correct orientation for case packing. The case erector used in this video is a CAM W (Wraparound Cartoner) with Inner Lid and can produce up to 25CPM. When the finished cartons are in their correct orientation, an inner lid is placed (using suction) on top of the cartons and sides folded down. They are then pushed into the bottom tray of the case, glue is dispensed onto the side flaps of the bottom of the tray, and the flaps are folded up and in, securing the inner lid to the finished case.
