Description

The role of the Project Management Manager is to manage project staff to plan, execute and close projects per the customer expectations, deadlines and maintain budget. Plans resources and coordinates the efforts of all pertinent resources to deliver projects. Defines the project objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle. Continuous customer updates and effective communication via phone, onsite meetings, and email. Meets with other departments and works with and challenges customer-focused teams. Orients, trains, coaches, disciplines, and communicates Project Management strategies and company objectives. Implements PM staffing strategies and develops collaborative relationships across the company.

Mon - Fri

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or until the daily demands of the position are met (can be flexible)

 

Travel

Occasionally, as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or another business-related field
  • 5 years of related experience in a Project Management role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years supervisory experience coaching and growing teams
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Passion for leading teams and implementing change.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong negotiation and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among different teams.
  • High communication skills required at all levels. Must be able to interact with senior leadership.
  • Excellent command of verbal and written communication

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coaches team
  • Responsible for the health, budget and quality of all projects, overall
  • Develops and oversees project managers, schedule goals, contractual requirements, personnel assignments
  • Evaluates and improves systems and processes to effectively meet project requirements and profitability goals
  • Manages contract, machine scope, schedule, and budget
  • Manages customer expectation’s
  • Works with internal or external Sales reps.
    • Works on building accuracy and consistency into speed and urgency
  • Directs Purchasing Department on all equipment
  • Directs Project Management Coordinators and assign tasks
  • Eliminates any productivity barriers
  • Communicates and define the Project team’s objectives
  • Drafts new and improves existing project management policies and processes
