We traveled over 2,000 miles to Portland, OR for the annual NWFPA Food & Beverage Manufacturer's Expo. Founded in 1914, the NWFPA has been supporting the needs of the Pacific Northwest food processing industry for over 100 years! Together with Garrett Packaging Systems, Inc., we featured two of our most innovative packaging machines in booth #1317.

IMG_1079_Medium.jpgOur continuous motion, lightning fast VFFS Velocity caught the attention of many Expo attendees. The Velocity combines high speeds and continuous motion with a small machine footprint to provide an efficient, yet compact packaging solution. It is especially popular with companies in the coffee, snacks and contract packaging markets, but is flexible enough to form, fill, and seal products in almost any industry.

Premade flexible pouches are still growing in popularity with each passing day. As usual, our Rotary Premade Pouch Machine garnered the attention of many food and beverage manufacturers. See it live and in action, and you will understand why it is often a star attraction when we take it to trade shows.

This year, over 20% of our booth visitors were in the ever growing cereal, nuts, and snacks category. Another large segment of our booth visitors were manufacturers in the IQF (individually quick frozen) foods industry. Overall, their comments were that consumers are overwhelmingly looking for convenience, portability, and freshness in their food packaging.
